12 weeks pregnant and feel like period is coming

I turned 12 weeks pregnant yesterday and I've suffered multiple early losses, but never got this far so it's all unknown to me. But I've been getting back ache and cramping. Not painful, but I just feel heavy like I'm coming on my period🤦🏼‍♀️ I don't have a midwife yet either to ask and my scan isn't until Thursday. Had 2 scans already, one being at 10 weeks and all was fine and perfect, but I'm just getting a little bit panicky mainly because I keep reading stories of people having scans showing perfect baby and then they've gone for another scan it's and all over and that puts the fear of life into me.

Is this cramping normal? I'm not in pain but I'm noticing it's there. Also noticed some discharge which is clear, but dries pale yellow on my panty liner. I am fully on my wits end with worry🥺

Sorry that you’re feeling so worried FWIW I found that a lot of the feelings in early pregnancy were a bit like how I feel before my period- a bit stretchy and crampy as everything stretches around. The discharge sounds completely normal xx

@JumperandJacket I honestly feel like this first trimester has gone on for 84 years🤦🏼‍♀️😂 I had a sigh of relief yesterday when I reached 12 weeks, but then that's quickly taken by the anxiety again. I think it's a bit more intense now my 12 weeks scan is in 3 days. The worry is killing me🥺

I had two early MCs- it’s really normal to feel anxious. Hope Thursday brings good news xx

Hello. I turned 12 weeks today also and have had some cramping. I'm hoping that it's just down to everything stretching out. Good luck with your scan, please keep us updated! X

Hi! I'm 11+3 and feeling the exact same thing. Lower abdominal pulling when I move suddenly, cough, sneeze, or engage my abs in some way. Also having the clear discharge they dried light hello on the liner. No bleeding or real pain, just an uncomfortable pulling (kind of like I went too hard at the gym).

Things I'm reading seem to have this down as normal, but it does make me worry a little too.

I felt like this around 12 weeks and I am now 22+4 try not to worry I know how hard it can be though

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 18/10/2021 10:44

The cramping can be completely normal at this stage, your uterus is starting to stretch as baby grows and can be painful. Unless you are bleeding chances are this is the reason for it.

MSHxx · 18/10/2021 10:45

Glad we are all in the same boat ladies. Really really started to panic this last week leading up to the scan. Just keep having weird thoughts that the baby has disappeared🤦🏼‍♀️ when you've had losses then innocence really is stripped away. I'm actually off work until Thursday now so I'm going to try to relax myself

Congratulations to you all🥰

I remember ringing the midwife because I had period cramps and I was in such a state. She said it’s normal and it’s everything stretching. It’s hard to believe it though when you feel it. I very rarely get period cramps as well which made it feel even more scarier. If it makes you feel better book a scan. That’s all that kept me sane throughout my pregnancy.

I have had 3 scans leading up to my 12 weeks scan on Thursday. Where I'll be 12+4 at that scan, one at 6 weeks with my fertility clinic and we paid for 2 private scans at 8 weeks and 10 weeks x

@MSHxx Just wondered how you are.

Derbee · 22/10/2021 15:07

@JumperandJacket I just happened to recognise her username, but OP had another thread where she had a perfect 12 week scan yesterday. So all good Smile

JumperandJacket · 22/10/2021 15:30

@Derbee Thank you- good news 😀

MSHxx · 22/10/2021 18:00

@JumperandJacket I had a scan yesterday and all was perfect. I was actually 2 days ahead of original dates, so maybe the cramps where growing pains? I certainly had an active baby on screen, headstands, arms waving. Definitely causing mischief in there😂

Hi
This will be my fourth pregnancy, and my last one feels like a lifetime ago, (6 years).
I am 12+6 today, and was woken with bad cramps mostly right sided, feels a bit like period with a slight burning sensation radiating down my right leg, (I do have a hip condition).
No sign of spotting/bleeding, but this has me really worried. I have had miscarriages before!
Any advice/reassurance gladly welcome....TIA
