Positive? Or too soon to tell

Today I decided to take a pregnancy test as I haven’t really felt myself in the past couple days.
I am currently 5 days away from my period date, so decided to take a first response and it came back positive, can you tell me if theirs any chance this could be a false positive and if it is too early to test?
