Isolating before C Section

I have a c section booked in for late December at 38+4, I am just wondering whether people were asked to isolate for a period of time before and if so how long?
I am now working from home permanently anyway, so this isn’t an issue for me, but I am trying to plan Christmas, where we usually have my family round for Christmas dinner and need to know whether I have to tell them to make alternative plans this year!
I have my 28 week midwife appointment at 29 weeks (can never get booked in on time here!) so I will ask her what her opinion is, but just wondering of others experiences.

It was suggested that we isolate before my cs but I didn't as dh was working away until 4 days before my elcs date. I went in to labour early hours the day before my slot anyway so ended up with a cat3 cs late at night instead. I wasn't out much in the last couple of weeks anyway as the kids had finished school for the summer, just shopping, dog walks and Sunday dinner at my parents.

Mine was last December
I had to isolate once I had my Covid test, 2 days before

We were very careful for a few weeks before though as didn't want DH to miss it if either he or I developed Covid

I wasn’t asked to. It wouldn’t have been realistic anyway since I have an older child that needed to go to school.

It was suggested that I isolate four days before, but I didn’t, I’d had both vaccines and DH was going out to work every day anyway. I’d say I was a bit more cautious and avoided crowded places though. Not that I was really going far or doing much at 39 weeks pregnant.

I wasn’t asked to. Had my Covid test 2 days before, but nothing was mentioned.
I had 3 other children at school anyway and my partner worked up until the day before anyway.
He had to show a negative lateral flow the morning of the c section and each day he wanted to visit in hospital.

We’ve been told it’s advisable to limit contact for four weeks beforehand, as DH won’t be able to come into hospital if he has a positive test, and rates in December aren’t expected to be good. I have to do a test two days before; and on the day.

I’m not sure how much they enforce it; it’s not a definite that I’ll need a section and I’ve got no children and work from home, so it’d really only be having other people round that would be an issue. We’re planning a Christmas just the two/three of us, to be careful; as I’m worried about DH not being with me!
