I'm 22 weeks pregnant and been diagnosed with GDM since 17 weeks. I'm on long acting insulin at night time. And also novorapid with breakfast and tea if I eat a carb heavy meal. Last night at half 8 ish I was really craving something sweet and I hadn't taken my tea time insulin. I have in and ate a packet of sweets. Then 20/30 mins later I checked my blood sugar and it was 3.3?! How low it was originally I do not no. Has anyone experienced hypos in pregnancy? I rang mat triage who told me to take my long acting insulin and to go to a&e which I thought was bit over the top as my blood sugar had then come back up.
