Probably no denying it's a boy. Just heard a lot of people recently that they have had the gender of their baby being told wrong. We got told it's a boy today and probably no denying it in the second picture ??🤣 any thoughts? ❤️

Sex: Boy

Definitely a boy.

Some scans aren’t as clear - swollen girls, for example - but this is pretty clear!

Hopefully they are correct then!🤣

A friend of mine who is a midwife said it's more common for a "girl" to turn out to be a boy than the other way around, as if the baby is in a funny position they may not see the boy bits and assume girl. But this was at least 10 years ago so I'm sure the ultrasound machines are clearer now and fewer errors.

3 different scans told me a dd.
A well endowed ds arrived.. Not sure how the hell THAT was missed... He is 17 so hopefully scans are better now!!

Still true today, but maybe not quite as common. And yeah, the assumption is that if testicles aren't seen, it's a girl. Much more rare to have it the other way around, where they think testicles are seen, but it is in fact a girl.

I've seen a couple have a boy when they thought they were having a girl a few times. But only once have a girl when they were expecting a boy. Weird thing was that couple had had multiple scans where boy had apparently been confirmed each time.

I only know one person who was told boy but had a girl, she was expecting twins though so I’m not sure if that can make it a bit trickier to see? She was expecting boy/girl twins and ended up with 2 girls.

Congratulations on your baby boy ❤️
