I have a 7 month old daughter.
We have always wanted our kids with a small age gap.
I've just gone back to work and my partner says he wants to try again.
I'll all for the idea as I really want another one but im worried about what family are going to think about the age gap.

What do you think as there will be 16/17 month between them if I've caught this month.

Opinion? It's not something I would want. But that's me. If it's something you and your partner really want, then go for it.

Advice? There's plenty of threads on Mumsnet with mums describing what life was like with small age gaps. The gist of them are, the first few months/years are hard, but once it's over, it gets much much easier. Read a few of them first, then decide if it is definitely something you want.

Might be too late for an opinion if you've got pregnant this month. But babies get harder once they are moving, walking especially. Is your 7 month old crawling ? That said some people have good sleeping, obedient one, I don't. Number 2 is even more fiesty.

I do think it seems nice to have two similar in age in terms of interests and liking the same TV 😂 lol important stuff. I have a 3.5 year age gap, a bit bigger than I wanted due to a loss, as ideally wanted 3 year gap.

Sod what others think. If you're both happy to have a small age gap then crack on. Good luck.

We had a 16.5mth gap between our 2nd & 3rd. We had a boy and girl with the 1st 2 so people thought we were mad. Then we had twins, now got a 6th newborn and dh wants another lol.
