Hi, just looking for some advice.
I’m 9 weeks pregnant and went for a scan on Monday as I was having some cramping, to be told the baby was only 4mm and should be measuring 22mm so the baby had stopped growing, however there was still a heartbeat but it wasn’t as strong as it should be or how it had been on previous scans. I’ve been told to wait 2 weeks to see what happens. Just want to know if anyone else has had anything like this? And there honest opinions as I’m a nervous wreck waiting 2 weeks?! Thankyou

Hi OP, sorry to hear this, pregnancy is such an anxious time. Similar thing happened to me last year, went for a scan should have been 7 weeks baby measuring only 5+6 with no heartbeat one week later went back and no growth so I chose medical management. The fact that your baby has a heartbeat is very positive, it may just be a slow developing baby, or the dates couldn’t be slightly behind, all pregnancies are different but the baby having a heartbeat is a very good sign, I hope it all works out ok for you.

Thankyou so much for commenting on it, I’d had a scan previously before and it had a strong heartbeat and the last scan I had when I got told my baby wasn’t developing they said about the slow heartbeat and that the baby hadn’t grown at all in 2 weeks. It’s just very anxious waiting, and I can’t find anyone else who has had the same experience
