Hi, did anyone opt for planned c sec instead of induction?

Thanks

I had an induction last time which ended in an EMCS. I was undecided initially about what to do this time but I'm almost certain I'm going to go with a planned one.

Last time I was shattered from 3 days of no sleep/mild contractions/baby stuck and wasn't listened to during this time which led to DD being distressed. I'd rather have the control and know what was happening than go through it all again to end in another emergency.

@ContadoraExplorer That is what I've been hearing loads of with inductions unfortunately and most ended up with EMCS too. Thanks for sharing your experience!!

I had a planned section last week due to anxiety and was the best decision I could have made! I was home the next day and I'm healing fine at home :)

My labour failed to progress and went for c section rather than induction due to a previous late term loss.

I am so, so glad I made that decision. It was a great experience.

I know several people who had inductions and then an EMCS and were extra exhausted with a new born.

Yep! Except it was a planned section full stop- never mind induction! Had a traumatic first natural birth which left me with PTSD. Elective section was so lovely and a walk in the park in comparison to my natural birth, recovery included.

I also had a terrible experience with my first baby so have opted for elective section this time, I'm so excited as I have heard so many positive things about how much better/calmer the experience is, I honestly can't wait! 6 weeks to go!

I had an ELCS with both my children - I was pleased with my decision, I found first 3 days v painful afterwards but I have a low pain threshold and personally feel it’s the safest option for the baby xx

I had an augmented labour (started naturally but had the drip to speed things up) that ended in an emcs. I’d just go for a planned cs if I were you. I’d been in labour a week and was absolutely knackered trying to recover from it all.
Second time had a VBAC (was supposed to be a planned cs) recovery was a breeze.
