Just looking for some advice: has anyone flown Ryanair 33 weeks into pregnancy? Did they ask for the fit to fly cert at the boarding gate? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Best to ask Ryanair directly

I recently flew with them 28 weeks, returning at 29 weeks & 34 weeks, returning at 36 weeks and although I had my fit to fly letter, no one ever asked to see it.

Can I just check if you travelled with the fit to fly letter Ryanair provide or if you got one from your midwife? I'm hoping my midwife can complete the fit to fly letter but I don't think they have a stamp they can put on the letter. Not sure if that would be an issue or not? Xx

Hi, my midwife wouldn't complete the form for me as she said they weren't allowed anymore. I went through my GP. I filled out as much of the form as possible and just got it signed and stamped. Of course nobody ever checked it on either side and I was 36 weeks coming back! Not sure how helpful that is for you xx

That's their official info. I think there's also an example to print and fill out further down the page. I would take one, you know how Ryanair can be!! Grin

Thanks guys, I think I'm probably best taking it to my GP and asking them to sign and stamp as I had heard midwives weren't mad keen on completing them. I've printed off the form there so I'll give them a call in the morning and see what they say. Thanks again x

My midwife signed one for me in 2019 - no charge - but then the rules changed and she couldn’t do it in 2021, I had to ask the GP (and pay £30 for it as I recall!)

I flew with Ryanair last August at 33 weeks and got asked for my fit to fly at the boarding gate so I would get one just incase. Midwife wouldn't sign it so I had to go through Gp.

It has to be the ryanair fit to fly and they won’t have any problem letting you fly once you have that filled in and with you . Believe their cut off is 36weeks so once you’re flying back before then you will be ok . Wear compression stockings and make sure you have travel insurance that will cover any medical costs just incase !
