High PI Doppler at 33 weeks pregnant

Hi everyone :)

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and reaching out for advice or similar journeys...sorry in advance for the essay. Hard to condense as my journey have been a little complex!

I'm pregnant with an ivf baby, everything was going v. well until 24 weeks when I got some brownish bleeding. They put it down to cervical erosion (sounds worse than it is if you're not heard of it before!). However, it followed two weeks later with a heavier one which they were more concerned about. They didn't think it was coming from the cervix, they thought higher up. After being admitted and having extra scans etc, they concluded baby was well and nothing to worry about.

Fast forward to 33 weeks and I have had small bleeds (more so brown 'old blood' or dark discharge) approx. once a week since then. Same routine each time - they check the cervix and do ctg monitoring and say she's ok, that she is a very happy baby. I then get sent home and wait for it to clear, then it usually returns again not long after.

She's a very active baby and I try to focus on that when I'm feeling worried (which is pretty much every minute of every day if I'm being honest !)

I have been having growth scans every 3 weeks due to the bleeds, my last one showed she was smaller than they wanted (just nearing 10th centile on my chart) so I had another today. Now she is back on a improved path (gone from approx 1450 grams to 1990 in 2 weeks) so hospital are happy with this.

However, and here is my main reason for the post, the Dopplers are showing as high (from my understanding, this is the pressure from the placenta to the cord, that provides the baby with the oxygen and nutrients she needs). When a consultant was doing a last minute check about a week ago, due to me reporting reduced movements that day, she noticed dopplers were high. She told me she wasn't the expert so asked me to return to see the specialist sonographer the following day. Upon checking the next day, the levels had were in a better position with PI at 1.06.

Upon my scan today, they said they had leaped up again. In fact, they are off the chart for my gestation - my PI is 1.31 and RI is 0.74.

I have now reviewed all my charts from august (excluding last week's check) and can see the pressures have always been near to the top end of the scale however they never mentioned it to me. My flow has remained 'positive' and they said that's the important bit.

I have another Doppler check in 3 days but just wondering...how worried should I be? My main concern is that whilst I am home unmonitored, she might not be getting the oxygen she needs and I won't know :( it feels too long to wait 3 days to know more.

Sorry for the essay, I'm desperate and v. anxious!
