Flu Vaccine and Pregnancy

Is it safe to get the flu vaccine in very early pregnancy?

We are ttc after a chemical pregnancy last month. I'm ovulating around now and booked in for a flu vaccine next week. I'm wondering if this could affect a potential pregnancy? The covid vaccines really messed up my cycles and I'm worried the flu one might do the same.

You should get the flu jab.

Public health experts are predicting a surge in flu cases this year.

I got my flu jab with my last pregnancy during my TWW. Conceived on the 25th, jab was on the 2nd, got my BFP on the 8th. She’s currently a super healthy 14 month old Smile please get your flu jab.

Oh and the covid jab messed up my cycles too but flu jab never has (I have it yearly through work private medical) and obviously like I say it didn’t cause issues with getting it in the TWW with DD. That had been our 11th cycle of trying as well, without a sniff of a positive, so I was getting a bit nervous too.

Just tell them you're TTC just so they are aware but I'm 90% sure it's the same vaccine you'd have being pregnant anyway.

Thanks all that's reassured me to get it.

I've only ever had the flu vaccine once when I was much later on in a pregnancy so have nothing to compare it to in terms of impact on cycles etc. The COVID one really messed with me so I was worried all vaccines had a similar effect.
