Accidentally took vitamin A at 12 weeks pregnant

Has anyone else accidentally done this? I ran out of my vitamins this morning and took one of my husband's, only to remember it has vitamin A in it. I'm in such a panic. I can't stop googling. Anybody else been through similar and gone on to have successful pregnancy? I'm in such a panic given that I lost my previous pregnancy at 30 weeks. Thanks in advance.

No wonder you are in a panic. You went through an awful trauma. Can you contact your midwife for reassurance?

I really don't think one multivitamin with vitamin A is going to cause any kind of trouble. You and your baby do need vitamin A and it's in quite a lot of natural food. It becomes harmful when you have really high doses of vitamin A over a longer period of time because it is stored in the liver. In the UK they really say you cannot eat liver for this reason but in other countries they don't see it as a problem at all (including the US). In these countries women continue to have healthy babies even with high levels of vitamin A. One vitamin tablet is really not dangerous. X

@Matilda128 thank you. The Internet has reassured me to some extent for now 👍👍
