Bleeding at 5 weeks - help

Hi, I'm 5.5 weeks after getting strong positives (3+ on a digital at 4.5 weeks) through IVF.

For the last 3 days I have had the same pattern of bleeding - an hour of cramps and a heavy bleed which then stops for 24 hours then the same happens etc etc. I have no other pregnancy symptoms.

I'm pretty sure it's not good news but my clinic won't scan me for another 10 days and won't do blood tests because of test tube shortage. I'm too scared to do another test and know it won't be accurate anyway.

Did anyone have a similar pattern of bleeding and what was the outcome?

Sorry you are going through this @Hello101122, it is a real worry.

I think you are going to have to bite the bullet and take another test or wait it out until 6 weeks until EPU see you. I think it would be easier being at home to see what is going on (in my personal opinion).

In July, we had a chemical pregnancy and it started with cramps then bleeding - my tests then soon turned negative. You have the other hand where women do bleed when pregnant, although, I don't think cramps are associated with it that greatly.

I really hope you are ok as it's near enough impossible to remain calm when you see blood during pregnancy. Sending you a big hug x

Are you going to take a test? I know it is hard but for peace of mind it may help ever so slightly @clolo Flowers
