35 weeks - Baby moved from head down to breech

So the midwives have been saying my baby was head down from about 27 weeks, and the movements I was getting certainly felt that way too. I had a scan at 34 weeks which confirmed that baby was indeed head down.

Last night my baby was moving like crazy, and it felt a little different/more uncomfortable than usual. Today, I'm getting what feels like hiccoughs right at the top of my stomach rather than at the bottom near my pelvis like usual! And I'm getting a bit of movement lower down towards my pelvis, whereas usually all the kicks and wriggling used to be more at the top of my tummy.

This is making me suspect that the baby has flipped round to be breech Sad is this common at this stage of pregnancy (35 weeks 5 days)? Do we reckon I've a chance of getting him back in the right position? My next midwife appointment isn't until I'm 37 weeks

I'd call them and see what they suggest.

I would give MW a ring tomorrow and explain what you've felt, ask to see her so she can feel where baby is

Ah okay - thanks both! I'm never sure whether or not I ought to ring them as I'm scared to bother them, but since you've both agreed that I should then I will get on the phone tomorrow Smile

Hi both, just thought I'd update - the last few weeks he's given me and the midwives a right run-around, he's moved from breech to head down to breech and back again several times over the last few weeks 🤣

He's been head down solidly for the last week though, so I'm hoping that's it now!!

Thanks again x
