Red blood at 6 weeks 3 days

Hi all, this is my first pregnancy and I'm very anxious about it. I went for a scan last week where they measured me at 5 weeks 5 days and I saw baby's heartbeat which was a good sign. Today when I wiped I saw a few drops of red blood. Went to the loo again and a couple more drops. Massively worried and anxious and I am expecting the worse. Any advice would be appreciated :(

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

To me, it looks more like you've scratched yourself down there and the blood is from that. It's very fresh blood and not a lot at all.

Have you had anymore since? Is it in your pants or just when you wipe?

Thanks for your reply @PunchyPaprika. I haven't had any more bleeding but i went to my local hospital today after calling 111. They diagnosed a UTI and said they willl scan me tomorrow. I noticed a tiny bit of blood and then did poke around quite a bit to see if there was more so I hope it is an injury or UTI related. Very nervous but fingers grossed xx

Hey @Kay94 how did your scan go? I'm hoping for the best for you 🤞🏼 x

Hi @PunchyPaprika, thank you for thinking of me! The scan went well, baby measured 7 weeks and 1 day and had a strong heartbeat. The midwife said the bleeding could be due to a number of things including the UTI I was diagnosed with or an implantation bleed. Really hope I have no more problems xx
