As with a lot of pregnant ladies out there, my bowels have been a bit sluggish pretty much since I saw the two lines on the test.

Over the last few days, I've been craving porridge. I also was given a load of apples from a lady who has an apple tree. Anyway, when I was a kid I used to make apple pie porridge- chopped apples cooked with oats, milk, cinnamon, a few raisins and a sprinkle of brown sugar.

I decided to make this, it was lush, so have made it every day 4 days running. 3 days ago, I had the most comfortable and easy BM and have done every day since. The only thing that I can put it down to is the porridge.

I suppose it's the combination of stewed fruit and oats?

Either way, I thought that I'd share, just in case I can help any uncomfortable, bunged up mother's to be out there! 🙂

That sounds amazing! Particularly now that the autumn is here, that sounds an ideal breakfast!

I've just discovered (purely by accident because it was on offer) Waitrose Gut Health Apple & Almond Granola. I've had that a few days in a row and that seems to get things moving.

Maybe it's the apples??🤔

Oooo thank you!

That sounds lush. How long do you cook it all for?

Pitstop1986 · 09/10/2021 15:26

@CouldWeStartAgainPlease I cook it for about 10-15 mins, until the apple chunks are soft. If it starts to get a bit dry, just add a little more milk

Thanks - will try that tomorrow!
