31 weeks measured small

I’m 31 weeks and today the midwife measured me at 27cm using the tape measure which is considered small. So she referred me to the hospital for a growth scan. I’m already going on Tuesday for a scan to check if my placenta has moved up. Midwife wanted this moved forward but so far today I have heard nothing from the hospital. Hoping the measurement is wrong as I often feel my baby on my right side and I don’t think the tape measure took this into account. Feeling worried and sad. He is moving around a lot so hope for the best.

Sorry you're feeling worried. I didn't think they measured your bump anymore, they didn't measure mine or weigh me at all and that was only a year ago. The scan will reassure you. They are just being cautious.

If it makes you feel any better, I measured small my entire pregnancy. Had to go for several extra growth scans and DS came out at 7.5lbs at 39+4.

He'd just managed to awkwardly jam himself under my ribs/into my back so I never really "popped".
