Chemical pregnancy?

Hi,
I had 2 positive pregnancy tests last week - a clear blue dye one and a digital clear blue that gave the weeks as 1-2 pregnant, so should be 5 weeks pregnant today.
I took a Tesco dye test last night then again this morning and they’re both negative.

I don’t have any particular symptoms either way - bit of cramping but had this in my first pregnancy. No bleeding yet.

Does this new negative test result mean it’s a chemical pregnancy and I can expect to start bleeding over next few days? Should I speak to my doctor to get a blood test done?

Hey @TropicThundder, sorry you are going through this and the unknown.

With my chemical pregnancy in July I had cramping and bleeding before the tests turned negative a few days later. Could you do another Clearblue digital as it should state pregnant at this stage?

Unfortunately, my EPU couldn't do anything as it was before 6 weeks and pretty much said to ride the wave and see what happens. If you start bleeding and it fills a pad, that's when to be concerned.

I think it's a bit of a waiting game unfortunately.
Maybe try a test of the same brand you got your positives on? I think if you went for bloods you'd need it done twice to know if the HCG is rising or falling.
I'd buy some more tests and do them maybe 3 days apart.

Sadly I’ve started bleeding so it looks like this one is a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage

I searched out this thread as I’m in the middle of the same situation… awaiting the physical loss, but pregnancy tests are all negative now.
I was wondering if you had returned to full fertility? I’m basically desperate to try again, and I haven’t even fully lost this one!

I think this is happening to me right now.
Had icsi . 2 embies put back in . My OTD is today . I've got a positive on CB digital and on the one from the clinic . Albeit very faint. And ive started witha bit of brown discharge . And now I have cramping. Not sure if to think CP or is it implantation . ? I'm thinking it's it's late for implantation 🤷‍♀️

My period came yesterday - so ours is lost, very gutted :( onwards and upwards!

Your symptoms sound a little more like implantation? when i implanted this time round i had 2 days of 'bleeding' pink then went to a very dark brown, consistant with implantation. and also cramps - do your cramps feel like pulling and twinges rather than AF style dull cramps?

@WannabeCountryBumpkin normal my period pains are unbareable. But then I don't think this is actually a period bc I wouldn't have a period on lubion ? (Progesterone)
is it not too late for implantation?
I have read in some cases that when 2 are put in that one can implant before the other ? Or am I clutching at straws here . ? .

I've to continue with meds. The nurse said that I wouldn't go onto pessaries and I will stay on the injections. Is this always the case.?

We discussed egg donor . I dont create that many eggs and OH has a lower sperm albeit it works. Maybe a better quality egg would work x

I think I'm going through a chemical pregnancy too and it's so emotional and I'm so sorry you went through this too.

I have a 21 day cycle and realised I was a week late and I didn't feel right. Monday: FR positive result with obvious pink line. Tuesday: Clearblue digital positive result and FR positive with clear obvious pink line. Later on Tuesday I got some brown spotting then woke on Weds (today) with cramps and light bleeding in the morning. I went to the doctor who did a test, which came back negative. They took a blood sample to test but I won't get that until next week.

Has anyone ever had a clear test one day and a negative the next? I'm still bleeding and cramping and I'm utterly drained and exhausted. Is this reaction normal to what I suspect to be a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage as the doctor called it?

It's my first ever positive test.

We had ivf so I knew when my test date was going to be. Unfortunately yes I had this . I done a test at 8am by 930 I was bleeding I had bloods done 4 days later that confirmed negative. ..

Whilst you will feel very down and upset take a positive knowing that you can get pregnant and one day it will happen again.

Hi everyone I am seeking some advice please. I have previously had two miscarriages before 12 weeks and this cycle I conceived as normal but 5 days before my period was due I had some spotting that turned into slightly heavier brown discharge and needed a pad but nothing like my usual period. Only lasted a day. Two days later so three days before my period was due I went to eat something and felt very sick so went and took a test and it came back positive.
Had pregnancy symptoms continuously. 6 days later I took a test for some reason and it came back negative so I took 2 more and both negative so I was super sad and assumed I’d had a chemical pregnancy although I didn’t think I’d had enough bleeding. Since then 4 days on I went to the loo and wiped and had a tiny bit of blood but nothing else then the odd bit of brown when I go to loo.
Has anyone else had something similar and could it be positive news or am I living in hope?

Please help!!!
