Blood pressure, slightly high or normal?

Is 134/92 blood pressure at almost 36 weeks pregnant classed as high or normal? I’ve also been sick twice today which isn’t like me at all, I haven’t really felt nauseous or been sick throughout the whole pregnancy until today.
Thanks! Smile x

Higher end of normal, I'd call the midwife helpline though due to the sickness, always best to check.

Drink plenty of water and rest.

That’s quite high. 90+ for the lower number is above the normal threshold, and at 134 you’re getting very close to the cut off of 140 for the higher number too. You should definitely speak to a midwife. Do you know what your bp is usually?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Last 3 appointments my bp was 100/64, 124/80, 116/82 x

It was today at my appointment my blood pressure was 134/92. Also just noticed on my notes it says +++ leu 3 which means protein in urine doesn’t it? Makes me wonder why they didn’t mention anything though if my bp was slightly high plus the protein in the urine sample? X

Leu means leukocytes not protein.

She should of rechecked your blood pressure later in the appointment, and if still over the threshold of 140/90 referred for a bp profile, which is where your blood pressure is checked over a longer period.

Oh okay, thank you. Today was a consultant appointment but I see my community midwife tomorrow so will mention it then and she always checks my blood pressure anyway. Just makes you worry a bit, especially with the vomiting I’ve had today x

Hi OP, how are you feeling? Did you see your midwife?
