Hi all, new to the group. My first pregnancy and just had appointment for first scan. However, my midwife said that some places still aren't allowing partners to go to scans. My scan is at a community health centre rather than the hospital, been trying to call the centre but no-one seems to know anything and no-one can give me an answer. Its at Allens Croft. Has anyone been there recently and can anyone confirm whether partner can go? I really want him there with this being our first. Thanks in advance.

Do you have your scan letter? It should say if you can have a partner. Mines says one person so hopefully you are the same @FiHall86! x

Scan letter doesn't say anything :-( I thought it would have said that i had to go alone if he couldn't come with me so tempted to just bring him. I know he'll be really disappointed though if we get there and he can't come in. Thanks, and hope all goes well with your scan :-)

If no one at the centre can tell you I don't know how you're supposed to know!

At my trust patients and partners have to present a negative lateral flow test so I'd suggest you both do that earlier in the day of the scan appointment.
If he is not allowed in you'll be able to book a private scan (companies like Ultrasound Direct or private obstetricians provide this service).
Hope it goes well.
