Pregnant after miscarriage

Early days…I’m just over four weeks. Still in shock at the positive test after over a year trying after a miscarriage. I’m feeling numb like it’s not real. Not sure where else to turn for encouragement. Sad

Hey @BabyTattie
I just found out this week and totally understand! I'm 4 weeks and 4 days roughly. I've had 3 miscarriages since 2019 and then 3 failed rounds of IVF. This was a totally unplanned surprise and really relieved to see a positive test again!

Fingers crossed for both of us. Are you scanning early? Xxx

Hi OP

In the same position and the best advice I got was to take one day at a time Thanks I am still following this advice now.

It's a weird feeling of seeing a positive after a loss but try and think of it as this is a complete different pregnancy and there is a good chance everything will be ok ✨

@Rachae we are at exactly the same place in our pregnancies! We’re going to go for a private scan :-)

Hey Both, it's nice to have others on the journey 😊
Being a bit of an unfortunate veteran.. My top tips are:

  1. Don't think beyond a week or so or build a 'story' of what will happen months ahead
  2. Plan nice things into the calendar for next few weeks ( I've got a hotel stay next weekend)
  3. Pregnancy tests.. ditch or go digital. Try not to watch line progression etc. Im only using the 'pregnant' or not pregnant test and the clear blue weeks indicator can be so inaccurate and add more stress
  4. Food... Eat what you need to

Anyone else got tips? 😊 Xxx

Those are great tips! I think I’ll get a digi at the weekend :-)
