Hello ladies,
I think I’m just after some reassurance here at 10 weeks. First pregnancy after a year and half trying to conceive. 35 years old.
I count my self lucky I’ve had zero symptoms to date. Just slight nausea and very sensitive boobs but I guess I’m just worried in 2 weeks at the 12 week scan there will be nothing. I thought the tww was tortoure! I’m struggling now, feel too worried to go for an early scan as I’m sure for that moment if everything was ok I would still worry “what if” the next day.
Ive had my booking in appointment at week 8 with the midwife and I guess no news about the blood test results is good news?
I feel and look the same, it’s like it’s not happening Sad
Thank you letting me vent. My partner and I have decided not to tell anyone until the scan so this has been helpful.

This happened to me too, absolutely no symptoms other than slightly sore boobs. I also didn't want an early scan, I just didn't want to know. I guess I was burying my head in the sand! The nuchal scan was good & since then I still have no symptoms and I'm 17 weeks now. Since the scan time has flown by but the first 10 weeks lasted a life time! I hope everything goes well for you!

I had zero symptoms too, no sore boobs no single wave of nausea. Good luck with the pregnancy, symptomless pregnancy gets little sympathy but it's mentally challenging , I feel you. Hope your scan goes well!

Hey @DeeDee20
I had my booking appointment 3 weeks ago and she said if I didn't hear anything in a week, then there was nothing to be worried about regarding the blood tests and we'd talk about the results at the 16 week appointment.

I had barely any symptoms too for the first 10 weeks, just really sore nipples. Now I have a ton of stomach cramping and food aversions so be careful what you wish for! I'm sure your little peanut is growing happily inside and it's really not long at all now until you'll get to see them x

I have 2 children, both adults now, and I never had any pregnancy symptoms. No sore boobs, no nausea, no nothing. Both born healthy and gorgeous. Symptoms or lack thereof do not indicate a healthy pregnancy.

Thank you so much for your responses.

@Kipkay35 ah yes it does feel like a life time doesn’t it. I’m like you, just burying my head. I hope everything goes well for you too.

@mia2201 it is so mentally challenging isn’t it. I try not to get excited but I can’t help it. It’s all the what ifs.

@Lils11 aw thank you, so close to scan date. It feels so far but your right it won’t be long.

@Aquamarine1029 thank you so much for your reassurance. Xxx

If it is at all reassuring, I have lots of symptoms and still have the fear that there will be nothing at the 12 week scan! I think it is a really common fear and hardly surprising as the first trimester is such an anxious time.

DeeDee20 · 06/10/2021 19:52

@NigellasMicrowave hey, yes I think you’re exactly right. Symptoms, no symptoms, early scan or not, it’s exactly that. The wait and the anxiety around that until you know for sure at the scan. Trying to fill my days for 2 weeks. Thank you for your words x
