Hi All,
Looking for a bit of advice or reassurance from anyone who has been in a similar position.
I’m 35 weeks pregnant now and have noticed over the past 4 weeks or so one of my nipples has become inverted. It’s only one of them and I’ve never had this before.
I mentioned yesterday to the midwife who confirmed it is inverted and have seen the gp today. I have been referred to a breast clinic to be seen within 2 weeks, I was hoping it could be something pregnancy related as this is the first time it has happened but now I can’t help thinking the worst 😢

This happened to me during my second pregnancy (7 years ago). I was referred to the breast clinic for an ultrasound. They said it was some scarring as a result of pregnancy and was nothing at all to worry about. It's still inverted though so I think that's it now!

Good luck. Xx

I have an inverted nipple. Turns out it was the one that was easiest to breastfeed from!

Thank you @Rosiiiiie and @LadyoftheWoods for sharing, hoping it’s something of nothing 🙏🏼

I don't have experience of an inverted nipple but I just wanted to give you a virtual hand hold as I found a lump in august at 20 weeks pregnant and was also referred to the breast clinic. The waiting is the worst part and so many things go through your head but my advice is to try and put it to the back of your mind and reassure yourself that it will be pregnancy related. Thankfully mine was/is but I will never forget how nervous I was throughout the whole process. Just don't let yourself think the worst, chances are it's hormone related x

Thank you so much for the message @burtle4 🙏🏼 It’s an anxious wait x

Hi there,

I know this is an old thread, but did you get to the bottom of this OP? I’m going through the exact same thing.
