Hello, I'm looking to see if there's any midwives in here or other people in the low that could explain the difference between my two blood results. The set with the higher numbers was at my booking In appointment and the lower set was my 28 week appointment. I'm now 32 weeks

I was prescribed iron pills but I've not managed to take them yet because I had a chest infection and was on antibiotics. When I tried also taking iron pills I felt very sick and thought it was all too much for my body.
Which set of numbers relates to my iron level?

Your iron levels are the hb reading ( haemoglobin) x

The haemoglobin on the tests has dropped a bit and may be in part due to iron deficiency (as it’s the commonest cause of anaemia in pregnancy) as well as the ‘physiological anaemia’ of pregnancy. There isn’t a specific marker of iron deficiency on the screenshots you’ve posted though (Hb is not the same as iron levels as suggested by pp). Not my specialty but I think starting iron in response to low Hb is done as a test and treatment in pregnancy, and may be followed up by a repeat test to see if there’s been a response. HTH.

Thank you @Greybeardy yes I am meant to have my bloods done on Friday although since I haven't managed to take any I doubt it will have improved and probably got worse.

I am feeling very tired indeed. I tried to eat more red meat in the last few weeks since I was taking the antibiotics. Hope that did something but I don't feel so great
