Hey everyone I’m new here! I was looking for some advice really it’s my first pregnancy and I suffer with anxiety it’s terrible! I have my first scan next week and no matter how many people I’ve spoken too I just need my mind putting at ease has anybody else felt like this?! POV; I’m very worried that I’m going to go to the scan and there isn’t going to be a heartbeat or something will go terribly wrong ☹️ I hear so many stories and can’t help but worry has anyone else felt like this but everything turned out ok! Sorry for the long post!

Hello I have 5 DS and one SS so I feel qualified to respond. The thing that I thought to myself was everyone walking around has been delivered successfully so why should I be any different? Obviously take all the help and advice that you can but also have confidence in yourself as a Mother . Wishing you an enjoyable pregnancy and motherhood.

I was definitely like this! I booked an early scan at 8 weeks because I was so anxious, as was high risk due to some health problems/family history.

I'm 39+2 now and my baby girl will be here on Wednesday by elective c section!

At the start I really couldn't imagine how I'd possibly get through it as I was a mess everyday, but you'll feel so much better once you had your scan and start looking to the next one, and might even be feeling your baby move about by then! Although I didn't feel her until 22 weeks.

I had an early scan, saw a heartbeat but was then terrified still at the 12 week scan a month later. I felt that so much could have changed in a month. The odds are in your favour that everything will be just fine and as easy as it is to say, there’s really no point worrying about it. Spend your time doing other things, distracting yourself as best as possible. The quicker the time passes the better! I’m sure everything will be just fine 😊

I’m exactly the same! I’m currently about 9 and a half weeks. I had a scan at 5 at EPU because I had lots of pain in my side, everything was fine and I booked a private one last week and again everything was absolutely fine. You’d think with all this reassurance I’d feel much better but I don’t! I can’t help but read all these stories online about MMC at the 12 week scan! I’m sure we’re not the only ones and a lot of women feel the same 😅 I’m sure everything will be fine and good luck at your scan 😊

I'm the exact same. Have had 4 scans 7week, 10weeks,12w4d and 13(for spotting)
All showed a healthy baby with a great heartbeat and I'm 16w but I can't help worry about 20w scan (I'll actually be 21w4d) and think worse case scenario. It's hard not to but I'm big into writing everything down and savouring what I can which is the tiny but slowly growing bump and the tiredness which is rough but very much welcome. Work keeps me sane as well to be honest cause its so busy and a busy mind is not a worried mind for me!
