First Midwife Appointment?

Hi ladies, how many weeks pregnant were you when you had your first midwife appointment?
I'm currently 9 weeks and I contacted my GP surgery when I was 7 weeks. They told me they would put my name in the book for the midwife to call me. I called up today to check and apparently the midwife only works at the surgery on a Friday so appointments are limited. They said she will be in contact when I'm around 12 weeks and I'll get my first scan at around 14 weeks.
I'm confused because online it says there are tests you should between 8-10 weeks.

Hey @SJT1234! I called at 4 weeks and my first midwife appointment is on the 19th of October where I'll almost be 10 weeks x

I had mine at 7 weeks; but my Trust is doing them at around 10 weeks now due to the Pandemic, and I know someone who had hers right before her 12-week scan because of short-staffing at the moment. It's all been fine

Most of mine was over the phone.

Thank you, that makes me feel so much better @TakeYourFinalPosition. 14 weeks seems like such a long time to wait to hear a heartbeat after having 2 previous miscarriages. I know 2 people who have had their appointments both at 8 weeks so maybe based on GP 🤔 as under the same trust.
