Need some advice on brown spotting please!
Hi everyone, im currently 7 weeks 3 days pregnant and started brown spotting on Saturday morning. Was a very small amount, stopped around 2pm.

Went for a scan straight away, saw baby with a strong heartbeat -142bpm
Doc said there was some bleeding in the gestational sac which he said can be normal but today the spotting has become slightly heavier but still brown

Anyone experienced this?
Ive already had two miscarriages this year and the spotting is completely different this time round. Thank you

I had all types of bleeding in my 2 full term pregnancies.

Brown blood usually means old blood. If the doctor saw some on the scan it's likely just that making it's way out of you. Implantation bleeding can also be brown if it take a while to come out.

If the blood turns red or there is any pain, pop back to the EPU (you don't need another referral once you've been once) and get checked again.

If you do get a gush of red (which might come from the blood already seen) lie on your left side and see if it stops if so it's likely ok but you can go and get checked anyway.

Thank you @Twizbe so glad to hear you went full term on both occasions.

The doctor said where the heartbeat is so strong its unlikely to end in a loss however of course they cannot 100% guarantee anything.

I did ring yesterday & again was told by another nurse that everything looked good & aslong as the blood doesnt turn into clots then fingers crossed everything is normal and as you said, old blood now leaving my system.

Thank you
