Hi all, 5 days ago I had massive pain in my left side and bad cramping in my stomach after calling 111 they suggested it might be a uti so went to Dr's who dipped my urine and said I do have a uti and gave me a 3 day course of nitrofurantoin. Everything started feeling good from today pain has gone after a day of taking them. But I've noticed they've made my nausea even worse from both pregnancy sickness and sickness from the antibiotic. I just took one at 830pm and went to the bathroom and immediately felt nauseas I tried to stop myself but at 910pm I threw up mainly water and bile and I couldn't see the tablet (sorry for tmi) I just wondered will my body have had chance to absorb the antibiotic? Anybody else have experience with this. Thanks x

I had the same. Took a 5 day course, but had HG so threw a lot of the pills up. Gave another urine sample and still had an infection, so got given another course of nitrofurantoin. Latest sample came back as all clear. You might just need a longer course as well

I had this issue and I was prescribed anti sickness tablets as soon as I said I was vomiting.

Ah yes, should have said. I was also taking cyclizine, for the vomiting.
