Hi all,

I’m 32+3. I’m having quite intense pain in my lower back/ bowel/ pelvis area. It’s a constant pain (not like contractions) and feels like cramps you get with your period or if you have constipation / diarrhoea . Feels like it could be some kind of tummy upset, but I don’t have diarrhoea or anything (sorry tmi!) is this normal / a common experience at this stage of pregnancy or should I be worried? I feel like I’m low risk for prem Labour (don’t have any of the risk factors) but obviously this is a concern because of stuff you read when you google. I’m alsO completely shattered. At home alone with my toddler but can barely keep my eyes open. Any advice appreciated.

Thank you!!

You need to call maternity triage for advice asap.

Please call the maternity ward for advice, even if just to settle your mind.

Thanks for responding. Just worried if I call them they’ll just automatically tell me to come in to get checked, but I have no childcare 😔. Obviously if it’s an emergency will need to sort something, but not sure if I’m worrying about nothing or not..

If you need to get checked, you need to get checked. Hopefully it's nothing, but you need to talk to triage to find out.

Hi op I would be more worried if it was accompanied by some sort of bleeding or something else. Pregnancy brings on all sorts of pain, could be trapped wind. Relax and wait to see if it goes on it's own or if pain gets worse

Isn't there anyone nearby that could help with your toddler? You won't know if you're worrying about nothing or not until you get checked. Hopefully it will be one of those things and nothing serious, but it really would be sensible to get checked out.
