Hey, congratulations! You must be so excited after the long wait. I'm 5+1 if my dates are right 🙂 any symptoms yet? I don't think I have any yet, it's my second and didn't have symptoms with my first throughout so hoping I'll be lucky this time around too 🤞🏼

FitMum27 · 03/10/2021 16:30

@NCON hey congrats to you too. Not really. I've had sore boobs more Sonia evening during night and first thing and just a very slight nauseous feeling in evening but don't know if I'm imagining it lol

Hi I'm 5+4 I think. I'm 38 too, this is my 3rd and quite unexpected! I've got sore boobs and I'm knackered 😴 I've also come down with the worst cold ever and feeling awful!

FitMum27 · 03/10/2021 21:12

@shivbo2014 aw thats not great hopefully you feel better soon x congratulations xx

RT65 · 03/10/2021 21:32

Hi all, and congratulations!! I think I'm 5+4 too been TTC for over a year and really didn't expect a positive this month! I started off with bad sickness but it seems to have eased now. Lots of crystalized ginger and herbal teas seem to be keeping it at bay. The tiredness has hit me today though 😴

Likewise, I've not told anyone other than my partner so it's nice to have this community! I'm thinking of breaking the silence at about 8 weeks... Not sure I can keep it quiet for much longer than that!! The midwife at my GP surgery has already contacted me to ask where I want to give birth, which threw me completely!!

@shivbo2014 - hope you feel better soon.

FitMum27 · 04/10/2021 07:21

@RT65 hi and congratulations x thats good. I called to make my initial booking appt but was told I need to be at least 6 weeks and my appt will be over the phone so I don't have it until 21st Oct. I'm goni try wait and tell people once I've had my 12 week scan but I do have my brothers wedding before then so people might guess x

Hey everyone! Congrats!
I'm 5+2 (I think), first pregnancy so super anxious about everything!

RT65 · 04/10/2021 08:28

@FitMum27 I was expecting the same, but apparently the hospital I choose will determine which midwife I see so they want to know so I can be booked in at 8 weeks. I've got 4-5 hospitals in the area so I guess that's why. Seems a but early to even be thinking about giving birth though!!

I went for a trip away last week with family and was convinced they'd suspect something if I wasn't drinking alcohol at all, so sneakily got the bar maid to poor me a tonic water in a gin glass. Hopefully it threw them off the scent!!

@SkaterChick - it's my first too, I feel like I've got a huge learning curve and am questioning everything!

SkaterChick · 04/10/2021 09:00

@RT65 so much to learn. I keep texting my best friend as she's had two to ask her stuff!

Anyone else getting morning sickness already? I'm feeling constantly nauseas and yesterday I smelt something when I was out that immediately needed to make me puke :(

NCON · 04/10/2021 09:30

I'm gonna try keep it in till Christmas by then all going well we will be 17weeks. My family don't live near me and won't see them till Christmas so think it would be a nice surprise. Keeping it in till then will be hard though 😂 the wait for the 12 week scan seems so long 🙈

@skaterchick no sickness yet here but I didn't have any the last time so might not be the best judge of when that starts, I've heard ginger and antisickness wrist bands can be good. Hope it isn't too bad for you 🤞🏼

LadyoftheWoods · 04/10/2021 09:56

Ooh can I join? I'm only 4+3 I think. I'm 36 and it's my third but my youngest is nearly 8 so it's been a while!

I don't feel sick yet but my boobs are really swollen and sore and I'm so bloated, it's disgusting!

I don't know when to tell people, second time was easy as people were expecting it but it feels like the first time all over again!

SkaterChick · 04/10/2021 10:17

@LadyoftheWoods congratulations! I'm glad you got your bfp!
My boobs are also super sore and I'm mega bloated as well. I'm a pastry chef so luckily my clothes are baggy so it'll hide it for a few weeks until I'm ready.
Just hoping the sickness doesn't get worse. I've just sliced a million Clementines and wanted to puke the whole time 😬

FitMum27 · 04/10/2021 10:32

@SkaterChick congratulations x super exciting try not to be anxious and just enjoy it. Ask.any questions in here x
@LadyoftheWoods congratulations xx this is my 4th child and my youngest is 8 too so do not think anyone will be expecting it. However this is a new partner. I divorced my 4 kids dad a while back. So like starting all over again for me too but super 3xcited to bring our families together. My fiance has 3 girls too so we're going to have 7 kids between us xxx

@RT65 I thought about that but I'm going to be driving. No point in paying all that money out to stay over at the hotel now when I can just drive home. Thing is I never go to a party and not drink lol never-ending my brothers wedding. I'm hoping pregnancy is last thing they'll suspect as my youngest is nearly 9 now and I already have 3 lol xx

nevcrmch · 12/10/2021 13:58

Hey everyone, I'm 37 and almost 7 weeks with my 2nd. My son is 8 so feels like I'm doing it all again for the first time 🥰

JenniferR2021 · 12/10/2021 14:17

Mine are 16 and 13 feel like I'm a first time mum again 😮

Bella2255 · 12/10/2021 14:23

Hi ladies, can I join? I am just 5 weeks with my first. We were TTC for 1 year so both super excited! We haven't told anyone yet!

Although have a question... I had some very light pink discharge when I went to the toilet and wiped today... which made me very nervous! I rang the midwife and they said spotting is very common and as long as it doesn't get heavier or get aches/ pains then I will be fine... did anyone else experience this with other pregnancies ? Keep your fingers crossed for me! Xxx

FitMum27 · 12/10/2021 18:21

@Bella2255 try not to worry. Your midwife wouldn't tell you it was nothin to worry about if it was. Congratulations x
@nevcrmch similar to me then I'm 37 and my youngest is 9 next month. I feel I'm bit more worried about everything this time round with being older. Been feeling sick today and nipples and boobs very sore x

Congratulations everyone 😁

Hi ladies, can I join too? I'm five weeks and been ttc for almost a year. I'm 39 and was due to start IVF this month! I'm worried it will be a chemical although clearblue said 2-3 weeks on sunday so I think that's right so far?

I've got really sore nipples but no other symptoms. I've got a cold too @shivbo2014 - sorry you too!

Congrats all wishing you smooth pregnancies! Grin

FitMum27 · 12/10/2021 19:53

Congrats @lily154 x I was trying for over a year too x can't wait until 1st scan to settle nerves a bit x

lovelea14 · 17/10/2021 23:13

Congratulations everyone, we have just found out we are expecting our first. I think I'm 4+5

Feeling a bit anxious as it's so early on and don't know how we are going to keep this hidden till Christmas.

Bella2255 · 18/10/2021 07:56

@lovelea14 Congratulations!!! I was feeling the same but now 6 weeks and the nerves have gone down. I had to "decline" my first invite to a friends cheese and wine night... I knew if I went everyone would be questioning why I'm not drinking! Morning sickness has started also... although not just in the morning! Hoping that won't stay around for too long! Xx

Anyone else been tracking BBT? I read this can help give indication everything is going as planned (if it remains high). This has been giving me extra confidence everything is on the right track😊.

I am planning to get an early scan at 8 weeks before our dating scan with hospital at 12 weeks.

How is everyone else doing?

Xx

FitMum27 · 18/10/2021 08:10

@lovelea14 congratulations x @Bella2255 my sickness has started too and not just in morning. I have booked a scan tho week on thu 🙈 I'm equally excited and nervous xx
