Are second pregnancies harder?

Newly pregnant with my second. I was 31 the first time round and 35 now. So far it’s been quite different! It took longer to fall pregnant, I’m more anxious, had a bit of spotting and lots of strange twinges and pulls but no sickness as yet (felt awful by this time with my first!). I’m around 6.5-7 weeks and a lot of my friends seemed to find it more challenging and harder on their bodies second time round so just wondering - am I in for a rough ride? What is/was your experience like?

Second pregnancy weirdly feels easier although in the first trimester I was incredibly nauseous all the time. Now I'm 27 weeks and I honestly feel great aside from being more tired! I had PGP on my last pregnancy which was horrific, and excess fluid so I was absolutely massive. Hoping it won't be like that this time!

Well, one big difference is that in my first pregnancy I could pretty much go to bed when I wasn't working. My second, not so much.

Yes this was the biggest difference with mine too.

I definitely found second harder.

Only 15 weeks, but thus far it's gone from one extreme to the other. Early pregnancy was easier this time, which was nice. Then fatigue hit after 10 weeks and it's been so much harder.

@PairOfPears I found it harder as in I had an 18 month old, while being in the first trimester exhaustion period! I also suffered earlier and worse with PGP. Could barely walk 2mins without being stopped in my tracks in pain, sitting playing on the floor was painful to. I was absolutely massive to! I was 35 first time, almost 38 when ds was born. Now just turned 40.. I'm apparently doing it again 😬 nearly 8 weeks.. totally exhausted!!! Dd 4, ds 2. May the force be with you lol xx

Oh gosh @Snoopy28x hopefully you’re in for an easier ride! I’m at a similar stage, about seven weeks! No sickness yet which is kind of why I asked the question, I felt awful at this stage last time! But very tired 😴
