I am 28+3 with my second baby. I was diagnosed at 38+5 with my son and had him the next day (induced, but was already dilated so had my waters broken and he was born 8hrs later)
I’ve had mixed responses about ICP returning this pregnancy. My booking midwife said it was highly unlikely whereas the one I saw at 16/18wks said it was probably likely and for me to call at any point of itching for bloods.
I feel like I’m starting to itch very gradually, I actually see my midwife tomorrow which I’m glad about and if it gets crazy I’ll call triage ASAP
My questions are:
If you had ICP in a first pregnancy, did it return in any others?
Did you itching come on gradually or was it sudden?
(I had sudden with my son, went from nothing to scraping my hands an feet on a door mat - this time it feels like my legs and feet are starting to gradually tickle itch if you know what I mean)
Upper right quadrant pain - I didn’t realise this was a symptom and in the last two weeks most days I’ve had episodes of super sore rib pain that can go around to my back. I assumed it was down to things stretching/baby’s position but apparently the liver and gallstone is located here which i wasn’t aware of. It doesn’t happen all the time but usually at least once a day I get a really sharp, horrid pain like my rib is breaking or bruised and it makes me stop in my tracks.
Did you have upper right quadrant pain with it?
