Hiccups/repetitive movements

Looking for some advice, I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and by baby had been having these jerky repetitive movements since 28 weeks. I can feel them in the same spot and they usually happen for around 15 minutes at a time roughly 3/4 times a day. There’s nothing I can do to stop them and I can feel them when I stand up. I spoke to my midwife and she said it sounds like hiccups but the rest of her body doesn’t move at all. I am worried that the baby is having some kind of fit! Am I being overly concerned? Thank you

I have the same (36 weeks) and was concerned by some things online so called my midwife. She told me it’s hiccups, and that it’s a good sign as she’s practising swallowing and breathing, and there is no evidence that it’s anything to worry about. The one thing to bear in mind is that hiccups don’t count as feral movement because they’re involuntary so make sure your baby is still moving normally otherwise (or get checked if not).
