Hi ladies , i wonder if anyone can advice me ... i a currently 4 weeks +5 days ... because we had IVF this is a very accurate ... so i have been testing since day 4 and getting faunt lines which were getting darker. I had clearblue digital on 4 +1 that showed 2-3 weeks pregnant . I then stopped testing and only did cheap tests now and then . And realised my lines were not getting darker . So i did First response this morning and the line is fainter that the last one ... why i did test is because all my symptoms disappeared... i actually never had any apart from extremely mild cramps in lower abdonem or ovaries that would only last few seconds... but nothing for the last 2 days ..: that made me feel extremely anxious about it ...: any stories good or bad please comment ...
also this was FET cycle so cramps in ovaries were not from IVF ..: i am also on progesterone , would that stop bleeding ?

p.s very bottom one First response is todays ... cheapies are 2 from yesterday and 2 this morning

I can't comment on the multiple tests as I don't know enough about what would make them lighter or darker, but I would say it may be too early for many symptoms to be starting? Aside from the odd ache in my boobs (which wasn't constant) I felt totally normal until about 8 weeks pregnant when the exhaustion and nausea kicked in.

I hope everything is ok for you - this early stage can be really worrying.

I was geared up to say that tests getting lighter didn’t end well for me but looking at yours I don’t think they are.

I found with FRERs there was a fair bit of variability in the dye and line strength between batches.

I also didn’t ever really get symptoms until getting on for 6 weeks so I wouldn’t worry about that so early.

Good luck! Flowers

Hi OP and congratulations! I am 9+5 with an IVF pregnancy. In the nicest possible way, please stop testing! You are pregnant, those tests tell you nothing about the health of your pregnancy and all you can do is wait for your scan at the clinic. I know how absolutely awful the waiting is, it's worse than the 2ww in my opinion, but you are achieving nothing by keep testing other than stressing yourself out. No symptoms is completely normal. Take it one day at a time and best of luck for your scan when the time comes x

Theres a thread on the infertility board for the 3 week wait for those with an ivf pregnancy if you want to join us? It is a really hard time. Your lines still look dark to me. I did a clearblue weeks test at 5+1 to see it go to 3+ weeks, and that helped me feel a bit better.

With my ivf pregnancy I had positive, but the clear blue never progressed past 1-2 weeks, I got scanned and told to stop progesterone then started to bleed. However .. your lines are strong!! I would try and stay away from the tests- I know it’s hard. I also think when you start the progesterone it gives you mild symptoms, so you probably wouldn’t have symptoms so early. Try not to worry - I know it’s hard .. the only way you will find out is at your scan xxxx

Congratulations!! I'm currently 10+3 with my second pregnancy and my big symptoms kicked in around 6 weeks both times. I'm sure it is very hard not to worry, but its out of your hands so you just have to assume you are still pregnant unless something obvious happens to suggest otherwise, e.g. a heavy bleed. Some people don't get any 1st trimester symptoms at all but for most once they start it is a rough few weeks until 9-12 weeks so enjoy your symptom free time while you can!

lawandgin · 02/10/2021 19:36

@miiaa oh I understand, only too well! I have a reassurance scan booked for tomorrow and I am terrified, even though I had an excellent scan at 8+1. It's so hard to get a handle on the anxiety, but I really don't think HPTs help. I had a really bad experience with the clearblue weeks indicator and I've resolved never to use them again! Xx
