Is anyone still worried after a good 12 week scan?!

I had my scan on Monday, was exactly 12 weeks, everything looked good but I still feel so uneasy about everything. I'm petrified about telling anyone incase things go wrong, I've just missed a private call and am now jumping to the conclusion it was regarding the screening 🙈 I know it stems from having 2 missed miscarriages but I feel like I'm never going to relax this time!

Hate to say it but mine is 4 years old and I'm still worrying 🤦‍♀️ It never ends, you just get better at dealing with it I think. I also had a pregnancy after miscarriage and can understand the additional stress/worry that entails. Big hugs xx

Oh god I know that feeling, I've got a nearly 2 year old 😂 but with this pregnancy I'm just an anxious mess, I just want to feel calm and relaxed but I'm struggling.

Came here to say the same, you never stop worrying Thanks

Fingers crossed I can calm down at some point. Its easier when I'm at home with a toddler to forget about it all than being sat at work.

Congratulations

Yep, and been told it's the same for everyone and never stops
I'm 26 weeks and had a perfect 20 week scan and all good at all appointments so far but I'm still terrified and coming up with all sorts of things that could happen or go wrong

I really don't remember feeling like this the first time around 😂 but I was naive, I knew the risks but you always think it'll never be me! Now it has been, twice, and I'm scarred for life 🙈

The joys of pregnancy after loss! I'm 19 weeks, had a 16 week scan with fetal medicine due to 2 previous babies with fatal birth defects and I am shitting it for my 20 week scan next week! I don't think worry ever goes away.

I have a 9 year old and the worry I feel with him is sickening. It's torture 😂 it's the hardest part of being a mummy!!!xx

Better find myself a better distraction then 😂

Ergh no it never ends.

I had a tfmr in june and i think thats ruined pregnancy for me forever. I have a healthy 2 year old though and her pregnancy was blissful.

I am pregnant again following my tfmr. 12 week scan was good but i was still worried..got the NIPT done and that was all clear but i am still worried! I dont think i will stop worrying till he is here. Concentrate on next milestones, for me the 20 week scan is the biggie so i know i will be anxious till then.

We are designed to do this, a good outcome is always more likely than bad. One step at a time. Do whatever you are comfortable with. Xx

Aw gosh I bet it has @rosed1008. You're right, that's what I kept telling myself before and I know it's still the case now but it's not easy when your mind starts racing. And as much as mumsnet is brilliant for a lot of things there are also a lot of worst case scenarios on here which can make you panic more. I hope everything goes well for you 💕

I’ve had 2 miscarriages and now 38 weeks, I found things got better after the 20 week scan, I also didn’t tell my work until after 20 weeks as I was so worried about something going wrong. We did the NIPT for extra peace of mind too.

We still worry but it is less once movements become regular and when the 20 week scan is normal. But it doesn’t take much to tip me over the edge - if baby is quiet for a little while I totally freak out and call triage crying. But I know it’s good to always get checked x

LilmissCa · 01/10/2021 18:25

I'm pregnant with my 2nd now too, 25wks. The worry now is another level to what it was with my 1st. I think on my 1st I was naive to a lot of the things that could go wrong. Having a CP probably added to that too.
I have settled a bit now that I can feel baby move, but that wasn't till 21 weeks so was a long worrying wait lol
Hang in there.. it won't be long till they are in our arms

GoodVibesOnlyPlease · 01/10/2021 19:44

Hopefully once I can feel movements that will help. It was about 19 weeks the first time and with an anterior placenta so fingers crossed its a bit sooner this time. Thanks for the support, makes me feel slightly less crazy 💕
