A bit of a long one, I'm so angry.

So I get that covid has put a strain on all medical fields and I totally sympathise but I think what's happened here with me is ridiculous and to be honest I'm feeling very let down. Basically...
I'm very difficult to get bloods from, always have been, always will be. My midwife took my booking bloods with great difficulty and only managed to get half of the booking bloods done. Which I didn't know this because I don't know what bloods they are meant to take. I just turn up to get them... So that was fine and I didn't think much else of it. Fast forward to now... I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant and I have been sent to a plebotomist/nurse to get my bloods done instead of midwife. So I go for my appointment last week for my GD and hemaglovin blood work... only to be told that actually NONE of my booking bloods have been done at all. As the bloods the midwife did manage to get ended up clotting. This was done at 8 weeks pregnant... So 11 weeks ago! And she didn't mention it, didn't reschedule or try to get them redone. As you can imagine the nurse/phlebotomist is furious as I shouldn't have been left so long with no blood work done. So because of this she wanted to do all my bloods in one appointment to get them all done and sent away. So she sent me away without doing the bloods for the GD and hemaglobin. She booked me in for today instead to get these done along with the other blood work. She had called the community midwifes (as my midwife is on holiday this week) to get all the forms and tubes for all these bloods to be done, they told her they were going to drive over and drop them all off for my appointment today. And guess what... They didnt at all! She couldn't get through to them or anything. So I have fasted 3 times now and been let down on getting my bloods.
I'm now basically in a position where I'm angry about it but I also will feel to bad about kicking off because I know they are under pressure. But I just think that this has went to far now and to leave a pregnant woman without any blood work done until 19 weeks is shocking, especially when I'm a high risk pregnancy! I'm basically wondering what I shoukd do about it? The nurse/phlebotomist said she is putting a complaint in about it as its medical negligence. But I feel too bad to do it myself aswell... I'm not considering changing my midwife which I'm gutted about because she truly is a lovely lady and she was my midwife with my son 10 years ago. I'm basically just looking to see what others would do? Would you kick off and demand a new midwife? Or let it slide but make sure they know in future you won't stand for it and demand a list of bloods and test that are needing done in the future and manage them yourself?

Sorry its long, and thanks x

I would definitely change midwife. How can you ever rely on her now. Also you need to put in a complaint. Covid restrictions aren't an excuse anymore as maternity services are running as normal. Good luck x

I think I knew the answer, I just feel like a right cow for doing it. Thanks for your reply. Think I'm just in shock this has happened. I do feel really let down! Not to mention annoyed I've taking 3 trip now to get them done when I'm in pain (think I have SPD) and fasting makes me so nauseous aswell so isn't great having me fast 3 times in the space of a week xx
