I've just found out I'm pregnant with my 3rd child. Only just 4 weeks.
I turn 40 next week and I'm worrying about my age. I'm taking pregnancy vitamins. Is there anything else I should be doing that will be beneficial at my age?

Do you do a lot of exercise normally? If not, you should start something, admittedly hard during the first trimester but you absolutely need to have an active second/third trimester especially if you are on the older side

Thank you. Not really apart from running about after the other 2! I'll make a plan!

I’ve just had my fourth baby at 39. I took a higher dose folic acid throughout, along with a higher dose of vitamin d.

I was also advised by my consultant to take 150mg aspirin every day until 36 weeks.

I’m not particularly active other than usual day to day activities, and I’d had my last child 7 years ago so it had been a long time since my body had been through a pregnancy, but I found it surprisingly easy and much the same as my previous pregnancies.

Even now, with a 4 week old baby, I’m not really noticing that it’s any more tiring at this age than it was in my twenties or early thirties.

Congratulations and good luck!

Hi ladies, I hope its ok to join. I've been very cautious with pregnancy as its taken years to conceive, there was a problem with my eggs, and just 40. I've had my 12 week scan and only 10+6 but also intestines not returned to abdomen- which is late! Im trying not to worry and use Google Doc but finding it hard. Has anyone had or heard of intestines returning to abdomen late?
