Hey everyone, I’m new here so don’t really know how to start so here goes, I’m 5 weeks pregnant, first time mum so just want some reassurance that what I’m feeling is normal?
My partner is really understanding and constantly trying to reassure me that everything is fine/will be fine but i wake up worrying about my pregnancy/baby.
Every slight twinge, i’m worried that something bad has happened, trying not to overthink.
Are heightened emotions of worry/anxiety over my baby normal? Thanks everyone xxx

@Mamatobex I feel your pain as will every other woman on this app, honestly the worry never stops. I’m 11w3d & I still worry every single day! Just try to enjoy pregnancy as much as possible, a lot easier said than done I know! I found booking an early reassurance scan did help a lot. Is this something you could look at? & ofcourse, congrats!

Thank you so much for the reply. it’s such a magical feeling but just that worry like you said I’m just trying to enjoy it 🤍 yes we have booked a scan at 7 weeks so only a couple of weeks to go which will bring me great reassurance once I hear the heartbeat. Thank you, congratulations to you too xx

@Mamatobex honestly the first trimester is a struggle, while I am extremely grateful to be given this opportunity I’ll feel a lot better when I can feel kicks! Your scan will be here before you know it & it will be amazing! I even got given a little baby pack with a bottle, dummy & a scan picture. It really did make everything seem real so I hope your experience is just as special ❤️

Yes I feel completely the same, I feel so lucky! I can’t wait for that moment aswell, those little kicks and riggles just to know there okay in there 🥺 aw stop, that’s adorable!! It’s all just so exciting at the same time Ive already been looking at nursery ideas haha, will you be finding out what you are having? 🥰

@Mamatobex I’ve got a whole pinboard on Pinterest dedicated to nurseries! 😂 I did think I’d have a little surprise, but the closer it comes the more I realise I’ll absolutely want to find out! A gender reveal is also an excuse to get close family together! How about you?

Mamatobex · 29/09/2021 19:57

Omg I’m the same on Instagram 😂 so exciting isn’t it, they do look so good when people pop the balloons and to see there faces! We are going to let it be a surprise, so we said we will have a big baby shower as like you said it’s an excuse to get all the family together 🥰

@Mamatobex honestly I love looking at all things baby 😂 could do it all day every day! Yes absolutely it works out I’ll be 16 weeks on Halloween, so I know that’s the earliest you can have a gender scan so I’m thinking I’ll have a private scan done the weekend after! Which is mad as that’s only 5 weeks away! Aw I do love a baby shower. We’ve got so much to look forward too 🥰👶🏻

Amazing! Yes I don’t think they are that expensive aswell well near me they are like £50 🥰 it will fly by, I’m excited for you!! We really do 🤍
