Has anyone any experience of the balloon catheter? I’m in to get it tomorrow and then will be sent home and have no idea what to expect!

My experience probably isn't very helpful, but I had one fitted on the 16th and they managed to break my waters fitting it. Balloon had to be taken straight back out, and kept in hospital until there was space on delivery to start the drip.
I'm sure that's quite unusual, but also be prepared for staying in. I was only 1cm dilated with a thick and far back cervix so body was no where near ready for labour.
Good luck!!

Oh thanks for the response! Hope things went ok after that! I’ll make sure bags are all ready just in case xx
