Warmed reheated chicken

Hi everyone I’m just looking for a little advice or reassurance! I made chicken fajitas last night on the hob, I left them cooking for quite a while on hot first and cooked through but as my partner was running late from work i ended up putting them on low heat, I noticed that from doing this they had started to go cold so I decided to put the heat on again to reheat them but didn’t make sure they were piping hot they were just warmed. Do you think this would have been an issue? It’s my first pregnancy so sorry if this is a really silly question! Thanks :)

The only potential issue is food poisoning. If you're fine now, and not suffering any symptoms of food poisoning, then it's fine.

I think you’d have known by now if there was anything dodgy about it.

I agree, you'd have found out some time in the night if there were any problems with it, try not to worry.

Okay thank you hopefully all is ok. Could there have been a risk of listeria? I didn’t even think it could cause an issue, it wasn’t left for long before I reheated again, I wasn’t thinking 🤦‍♀️

So you did cook it properly first? If so, you killed any bacteria at this point. Assuming you didn't wait hours for your partner it will be fine. Bacteria would take ages to multiply again.

Yes all cooked properly first, that’s what I was thinking but was second guessing myself. I probably left it on low for about 20 mins before slightly heating it again so not too long

This. As long as they weren't hanging round at room temperature for hours and hours then no problem at all.
