I just got back from my 35 weeks growth scan. I am expecting boy girl twins. My daughter is 5 lbs 6oz and my son is 4 lbs 16oz. His femur is measuring small in around the 1st percentile but the sonographer was telling us she couldn’t get a good scan on it in the first place. This is the first I’ve heard of him having a small femur this far into my pregnancy. He’s also growing in the 25th percentile everywhere else and is breech so his legs are in my pelvic area. Now I’m being referred to a high risk ob for a second scan. Do I have anything to worry about? Not sure why he’d have short femur now after 35 weeks. All prenatal tests came back low risk. Do I need to worry about dwarfism or Down syndrome with any of these?
