Anyone else 4 weeks?

I told myself I wasn’t going to get invested until 5 weeks this time but I’m off work sick at the moment so here we are Blush

Is anyone else around the 4 week mark and wants to join me? I had a very faint line on Saturday (someone between 8 and 10 days post ovulation, I didn’t track this month) and a nice clear line on Sunday on a first response test. This is our third month of trying and I had a chemical pregnancy the first month... hence trying not to get too excited this time and trying and failing not to test early!

Congratulations!

I am! I also had a positive test on Saturday and am 4 weeks 2 days I think. Trying so hard to forget about it but... wow it's all consuming!

oatlattetogo · 29/09/2021 07:54

@SisterA thank you, you too!

I know what you mean, I’m sure I’ll be thinking about it less when I’m back at work!

Is this your first?

4 weeks today - tested positive on Sunday. Congrats ladies! No symptoms yet but desperately symptom spotty and praying for a sticky baby

oatlattetogo · 29/09/2021 08:47

Congratulations to you too @TinyTickler!

Yep, I am hoping for a sticky one this time. I took a first response rapid result (or whatever they’re called!) this morning. Apparently they’re much less sensitive than normal first response tests and even other pregnancy tests and I got a positive on that which was a relief!

Will keep my fingers crossed for all of us Smile

@oatlattetogo it's my 2nd! How about you?

@TinyTickler congrats! Waiting for symptoms can make you go crazy! I had the mildest of nausea from the day I tested (on Saturday) until yesterday but it's all gone now. I'm sure things will ramp up soon. With my 1st I had no symptoms (other than fatigue which I only recognised in hindsight) until 6 weeks but I know symptoms can come and go too!

oatlattetogo · 06/10/2021 13:20

@SisterA my first! My partner has 2 children already though, so will (hopefully) be number 3 for him Smile

I have had sore boobs and been very thirsty, but I don’t know if that’s just a coincidence! I am 5 weeks today- I suddenly wanted to wait a bit longer before talking about it too much, hence the delay in replying Blush

Hi! Due to an irregular cycle I'm either 4.5 weeks or 9 weeks with No2, can't be sure! Not sure if my last AF was a real one or not. We won't know until the scan (not received the date yet) but I've got more severe symptoms than last time so I do wonder if I'm slightly further along than we first thought...!

SisterA · 06/10/2021 19:38

@oatlattetogo ah I understand that! Still so early I am finding it so hard to feel at ease about it!

The early pregnancy thirst is REAL def not a coincidence. Your body is so busy growing it really does make you thirsty! :)

Congrats @Laureatus! Do hope you will get some answers soon. Exciting either way :)

Coffeepants · 06/10/2021 20:57

Think I’m 4 ish weeks, had 1-2 on CB on Monday. But of a shock, will be my third. No symptoms except mild nausea on the Monday and feeling really tired (already in bed!)

Agapita84 · 07/10/2021 06:38

I am also 4 weeks, found out on Monday.
No symptoms other than constipation. I guess all will kick in after a few months into pregnancy 🤷

oatlattetogo · 09/10/2021 11:21

Hi @Laureatus! It does sound like you might be 9 rather than 4.5 if you’re having symptoms already but as this is number 2 for you I’m sure you know more than I do! I’ve booked an early scan for a few weeks time (as I am very impatient Blush) but I have actually had the date through for my 12 week scan too, which seems very early.

Thank you @SisterA, that’s good to know!

Hello @Agapita84 and @Coffeepants! No really obvious symptoms for me yet either. I am dreading feeling sick as I travel to work by train every day and it’s always very busy. Luckily it’s a bit quieter in the mornings!

Has anyone got a date for their booking in appointment?

I registered with the local midwife, expecting for them to call me, hopefully I filled the right form.
One comment, I have received recently is that I should stop jogging due to me 'being old' (37). I am a occasional jogger, I will go jogging now and then.
I do understand being a geriatric mum is higher risk, but is it this high?

Laureatus · 10/10/2021 09:06

@oatlattetogo yeah, it's interesting - but they say every pregnancy is different, so 🤷🏻‍♀️ and my GP just said it doesn't make a huge difference if I'm 12 or 16 weeks at the first scan!

I got my booking in appointment and first scan date in the post on Friday. I think it's 11th and 25th Nov respectively. My area's quite small so they get the dates in pretty promptly.

JenniferR2021 · 10/10/2021 09:44

I'm 5 weeks 😀

Coffeepants · 10/10/2021 10:23

Really? I’m 36 in a few weeks, was a regular jogger. Went for one last week she felt more out of breath but think that’s just normal. Plan to carry on with sensible exercise as long as I can.

SisterA · 10/10/2021 10:35

I've not got a booking in appointment yet @oatlattetogo I did call my midwife but she hasn't gotten back to me yet and I've not followed up because it just still feels soooo early. Officially 6 weeks today!

Laureatus · 11/10/2021 07:50

@Agapita84 I was 'only' 32 in my first pregnancy but my GP advised me to stop running (and playing 5-a-side football) immediately 'unless it's really important like you're in the Commonwealth Games or something' due to the risk of falling; she said it just wasn't worth it. Tbh I was far too fatigued in the first trimester to do any anyway! I did plenty of brisk walking for exercise (I walk to work etc anyway) but I stopped running/jogging. I had friends who continued cycling to work etc in the first trimester though. You didn't say whether it was a random comment or from your GP etc, but you could ask for more info next time you see GP/midwife?

Agapita84 · 13/10/2021 07:36

@Laureatus
Thank you, it was a random comment, but I will speak to midwife when I see her for the first time :-)
I feel impatient though, no signs other than tiredness, I wish it was December already to get the full scan.
