Paracetamol and ADHD risk

Has anyone else been following the news about paracetamol and links to ADHD and reproductive issues in children?

I'm suddenly feeling pretty annoyed with myself for popping some Panadol when I've had a few pregnancy headaches over the course of the 9 months.

I'm sure one occasionally is fine but I also wanted to write this to make more people aware of the new studies coming out.

I'm not going to take it whilst pregnant again.

This is interesting, I don’t usually take anything anyway but I didn’t take a single tablet while pregnant just in case

The key words in that article are experimental research. The website is not an official body and it undermines years of thorough multi level safety testing that conclude that paracetamol is safe. This smacks of the now discredited article about vaccines causing autism I would swerve this and disregard.

Hi OP, there was a long discussion about this the other day. I wrote a post explaining a few facts about this article and why you shouldn’t be concerned if you’ve taken paracetamol occasionally in pregnancy. Find it here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4357348-Paracetamol?msgid=111068272
