Any other women grossed out by breastfeeding?

As in subject, I’m wondering if any other women are absolutely grossed out by breastfeeding? I’m very maternal, I love children (mine and everyone else’s!) I value children and family as the most important “things” in life. Yet the idea of breastfeeding makes me cringe. A baby sucking on a breast like some kind of animal :) despite of this I did try with my first son and lasted 4 days. My second baby is due next week and I’m going to try again even for the first few days as of course I know it’s so beneficial etc. I’m just wondering if anyone else out there have similar feelings with regards to BF?

Breasts are a natural part of sex. The patriarchy can think what it likes, but I'm happy to let them think it's just them that gets pleasure from it. I'd rather use my boobs as part of some good lovin than be at the mercy of a tiny and very needy human sucking away at me like I'm a farm animal. Tbh, I'd rather not see BF flaunted in public ( under a cover is ok, but not the militant let it all hang out anywhere squad.) I don't want to see it anymore than I'd want to see other 'natural' things, like doing a poo, shoved in my face.

What a ridiculous comment. I never cover my son when out in public. If you don't want to see it don't look. Simple.

It's not gross. It's the best thing for your baby.

Yes I am grossed out by the thought of it. Never even tried it with my two. My boobs are for sexual pleasure in the bedroom not for a baby to suck on in afraid!!

If someone was doing a dump in the street, or having sex in a public park, it would be hard not to look. ( All natural things btw...) If someone has their boob hanging out in public with a human sucking on it, it's also pretty hard not to notice.

Difference is you can get arrested for that. Doing those things in public is not normal. Breastfeeding is. Its people like you that makes other women not want to do it. It's the most natural thing in the world.

If you notice something that you don’t want to stare at, it’s perfectly possibly to turn your neck a little and it means your eyes and line of vision will move too.

It a bizarre concept I know, but seriously, you should give it a try sometimes.

Breast feeding is amazing.

It’s this thread that is gross, not the action of a mother feeding her infant in the manner in which women and breasts were made for.

Yes! Bring back page 3 so everybody can be reminded at all times that womens boobs are for mens pleasure and not to feed their children.

Also while we're at it get disabled people covered up - doesn't society know that some people don't like looking at them? People might say they look that way naturally and not to stare but who can stop themselves from having a good gawp and then then being horrified at what they see? Eh @Piment
