Best time to buy baby stuff

When do people usually start buying baby stuff, like cots prams etc

When it’s on sale? We started buying small items after the 12 week scan. Some people wait until 20 week, and that’s when we bought the big stuff.

We bought items second hand and new throughout when we saw them as we wanted to spread cost. Just about to have number 2 and don't need anything apart from new pram as I found our first one really heavy (bugaboo chameleon we got second hand) and where we live is very hilly so knew I couldn't face another 2 years of pushing it up hills! Pushchair is biggest expense I think

Agree when it's on sale! I bought my pram when I was 8 weeks because I knew which one I wanted and it was half price so couldn't say no! Only thing I would say is don't start buying clothes too early as it's a slippery slope! I'm 40+4 now and have so many outfits! 😂

I bought a handful of clothing items after my 16 week private scan when we found out what we were having, i then bought nothing else until 22 weeks when we had to have it confirmed and now at almost 27 weeks i only have the travel system and more milk and nappies for the stock left to get. This is our 3rd but we didnt expect another so only have the cot bed from our 2nd left over! Some people buy earlier after the 12 week scan, some people wait until after 28 weeks. Its entirely up to you.

I was the same both times as have a boy and a girl So many clothes 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was ebaying them for months afterwards

After 18 weeks when ever I spotted something I picked it up. Got loads free on Facebook too. I'm 33 weeks now and I just need the winter stuff to come in to get the last few bits

And when you see something you really really like! We ended up buying the pram at 17 weeks because we feel in love with one we saw in a shop.
Clothes have been picked up as hoc but only when I see something special! No point in scheduling shopping and then getting stuff that you’re not in love with.
We did methodically get everything missing for the hospital bag lately.
