When did you start bouncing on a ball?

I'm now 34+3 and have a gym ball but not sure what I'm supposed to be doing with it or when.

Any advice gratefully received.

I used to just sit on the ball while watching TV but I never bounced on it, I just swayed my hips back and forth and side to side, it's to help baby get into the right position and also give you some mobility in preparation for birth. I think I started using the ball from around 30 weeks onwards.

I sat on mine as an office chair every day before I was even pregnant… I still went 4 days over so I can’t guarantee it’s going to start labour!!

I can't remember but quite a bit earlier than 34 weeks, helped with my sore back and hips. Mine was really handy when baby was born and had colic/ reflux as bouncing on it whilst holding him helped calm him x

Can’t remember exactly but quite early. That was because I got very bad hip pain and sitting on the ball and gently rocking or bouncing helped a bit.

Mine has mostly been co-opted by my toddler, but I use it when I can get a look in. Started around 25 weeks ish to help with back and hip pain.

I sit on mine in evening to help with my posture/ back pain - started from about 20 weeks. Not every day but I find it really helps when my back is bad.
