Has anyone had negative tests to start with and then find out they are pregnant later on?

I have developed a strange taste in my mouth and a nauseous feeling today.

I did take pregnancy tests around my lmp and they were negative, I did get a small about of bleeding and brown discharge for 2 and a bit days I thought this was my period and if it was, it was a very short one as mine last for 5 days. That was around the 9/11th September prior to that my lmp was 11th-15th Aug.

Advice welcome x

@allthingssparkly. Do you know when ovulation was.

It's possible, especially if you didn't test first thing in the morning, but it's just as likely just a weird period. If you haven't taken a test for a couple of weeks there's no harm trying another one, then if negative I'd leave it to see if your next period turns up as normal.

@babyghirl I was using the cheapy ovulation test strips 1st time using them and from them it indicated I got my peak around the 29th-30th August, however I'm not sure how accurate they are. I've never tracked ovulation before.

@allthingssparkly
They stresses me out I just done my temp for a few months, try doing your temp along with the stripes and c if it matches up temp is the most accurate to tell ovulation happened.
