Boobs after having a baby?

PeppermintTea21 · 24/09/2021 19:29

Pregnant with my 1st baby! Always had small boobs (nothing bigger than a B) even now they’re not much bigger? Slightly fuller but not another cup size up

I’ve heard mixed things about boobs after a baby - most say they go saggy and can be smaller/look smaller

A few people I know have mentioned theirs remained the same size/were a larger size they got in late pregnancy but did sag still. I’ve heard this can happen too.

Just genuinely curious really :) I don’t mind sagging I know that’ll happen regardless, kind of hope they don’t go any smaller as I’ll have nothing left LOL

Mine were in the small side but sat high before. Went up a few sizes in pregnancy, they were huge engorged and now they are deflated and sitting much lower 😐

ToadstoolBubbleMaker · 24/09/2021 19:35

Mine got much fuller during pregnancy and breastfeeding. When I stopped breastfeeding they totally deflated and I felt like they dropped loads and felt really empty somehow?

I am happy to report that about a year after I stopped feeding they kind of re-inflated a bit, and whilst they weren't the perky and firm boobs of my 20s I was quite happy with them again.

I'm now pregnant with my 3rd and really hoping the same thing happens... I'm a lot closer to 40 this time so we'll see!

mayblossominapril · 24/09/2021 19:37

Well I’m still breastfeeding and only had a 10 week break between two children. They are saggier but they got very big during the early days of bf. I was a 32eto start with currently wearing a 34 g. I’m still bf but they are smaller than just after childbirth

Babymamma192 · 24/09/2021 19:43

I've have 2 dds dd2 is breastfed and honestly my boobs before she was born were quite perky and high, not small but not too big....now (might be tmi but) they're like two slopes if I look sideways on in a mirror they slope down and then my nipple is just on the end like 👋 very depressing 😂

I've told dh all the money we've saved from not formula feeding will have to go on a boob job....only joking....kinda 🤣

PlanDeRaccordement · 24/09/2021 19:48

I think I was lucky. My left one went up a full cup and my right a half cup. So I was unbalanced while breastfeeding. After all my childbearing and breastfeeding was done (had 4 DC), mine returned to usual size and not at all saggy or deflated. I am also not overweight (high BMI leads to fuller breasts). I have had mammogram and been told my breast tissue is quite dense and firm for my age.

You might be lucky too?

Cruiser123 · 24/09/2021 19:57

Mine went back to the same size, but while they were perky before, they are now hanging more. Like someone sucked the life out of them 😂

PeppermintTea21 · 24/09/2021 20:21

These responses are quite reassuring! I’d take them going back to the same size. Just worried if they drastically shrink I will literally have nothing on my chest apart from nipples!

Do eventually want a boob job after I’m done having kids, whenever that may be!

Mine were never really really perky, and I was wearing a 34B before I had kids (but that was probably the wrong size. I was in a D before I became pregnant with the third and they were a bit saggier. Never breat fed thw first 2. Tried to breastfeed the third (couldn't didn't have any milk and had to eventually give up) and now they are much saggier than they were before. 🤷‍♀️ I'm passed caring.

mcduffy · 24/09/2021 20:27

I fed for 8m (first one) and 23m (second) and stopped a year ago, pretty much back to pre-babies

psbradio2 · 24/09/2021 20:32

My boobs didn't change at all during any of my pregnancies, I wish they did lol. Mine are going south due to putting on weight and getting older. I miss being perky lol.

NewLifePending · 24/09/2021 20:36

Mine are my only part of my body that my baby didn’t ruin 😂
I’m 38 so I’ve lost a little bit of fullness from the top but they are otherwise still in the right place, same size as pre baby and look good if I do say so myself 😂

Oohchichi · 24/09/2021 20:46

Mine are awful since pregnancy. They used to be big and perky, now they are long and flat. Absolutely awful! I’m only in my 20s!

VikingLady · 24/09/2021 20:47

Mine went from 32E to 32GG by the time DD was 1. I've gained and lost a lot of weight since, but they've never gone below a G. I'm currently 36GG.

They're a bit saggier, but my whole body is!

Nat4392 · 24/09/2021 22:23

Mine have never been big. When I was pregnant they didn’t really get much bigger, just fuller. Since giving birth though they’ve gone shite! They now feel like empty socks and I’m gutted!

ShrikeAttack · 24/09/2021 22:31

I'm 49. Bf for four years in total.

A cup to start. Now a C cup.

Very perky. I've never worn a bra, still pass the 'pencil test'. IE, I can't hold a pencil underneath my blossom.

I suspect that never wearing a bra may be good for them.

TheChip · 24/09/2021 22:38

What boobs? I think my last baby ate them.
Once upon a time I had reasonable sized breasts. Sigh

Limitedhelp · 24/09/2021 22:50

I went from an A/small B to an F cup when breastfeeding in the early months 😲

It was a shock and I hated it as I felt so much bigger size wise, than I did prepregnancy.

However once I finished breastfeeding then they really did shrink back down to their A cups
They are not a perky A cup either. They are like empty sacks of peas

Velvetscrunchy · 24/09/2021 22:54

Is this all mainly because you breastfed?

buntywindermere · 24/09/2021 22:58

So far so good for me. B cup, just about, filled the B cup when pregnant. BF two babies for 22 months then 14 months, could get fuller between feeds but nothing crazy. Back to a small B cup now!

annlee3817 · 25/09/2021 07:52

I was a very small 30 C pre pregnancy, went up to a 34DD during pregnancy, then when breastfeeding was a 34E. Once I stopped feeding I lost the boobs and am now a 32B, was a bit gutted lol I wouldn't say they say, but I think that's because they're small, so less noticeable

annlee3817 · 25/09/2021 07:52

Sag not say

thetesdybears · 25/09/2021 08:32

I suppose no one can really tell you what will happen. Some get bigger some smaller and some stay the same.

I was really worried about mine getting bigger and not going bk down (wish now that was the case).

I had large boobs for my small frame pre pregnancy. I was a size 6-8 and 30F in a bra. They maybe got 1 size bigger in pregnancy. My milk didn't come in at all. After baby my boobs lost some fullness at the top and I lost maybe 1/2 to 1 cup size. Were not saggy though but maybe not quite as pert as before.

Second baby, my milk did come in this time (wow that was a shock). I'm a little heavier, more a size 8 now. Boobs are now more like 32dd but they have no fullness and are def more sag than before but still not saggy. Just not the big bouncy full ones I had before 😕

I only breastfed both babies for a short time.

Somerandomgirl · 25/09/2021 15:59

Mine were small generally... went smaller after baby but i lost lots of weight too so could be that too

SillyBry · 25/09/2021 20:48

Mine were huge breastfeeding my first. Fed for a year and then they looked like ping pong balls in a long sock when I stopped. But a year later, they found a new life and definitely became more normal again!

Bigtity · 08/11/2021 21:29

I had the biggest breasts like a DDD and my child's due date is 01 August so I'm waiting with my big ass to get my next appointment to reveal my gender
