Ultrasound confusion!

Hello! First time mum here, I had my early gender scan at 16+6 and sonographer is adamant it's a girl! However I'm no expert that I think that's abit of a bulge! I've seen some which say it's a textbook girl from the rear and some which say that's defo a boy on similar pictures. We were hoping for a girl but my gut feeling says it's a boy! I had to double check with the sonographer and he was adamant but he didn't double check on the scan! Waiting for my 20 week check in before we go ahead and buy any girly bits! Let me know your thoughts?

I think there would be more of a bulge if it is a boy. With my girls 3 lines or the shape of a hamburger is what I look for. Will you have another scan ?

Sonographer knows more than us!

I wouldn't know. From that I'd say boy but I'm no expert. I do know that it's easy to mistake boys for girls.

It’s a swollen girl, I think. Quite common - you’ll be able to find more scans like yours if you Google.

It’d be bigger and a lot easier to see if this was a boy!

I think it's a girl. Girl parts can be swollen and look similar to a penis but a boy would look a lot more prominent

Op at 16 weeks you would see a scrotum and a penis tip. that's a swollen clitoris

Thanks everyone. I found a potty shot which was the same for a girl on Google so I think we are having a baby girl

Definitely a girl! My little boy at 16 and 18 weeks was a real "show-er" bless him

My first was boy, could see the stuff very clearly 😄 , so you would know if it is boy i think
