Oh dear! So after so much research I finally found a name for our baby that we both really like. However I've decided to Google it and the first hit is a porn start 😒 is this a problem? I'm just thinking if someone Google her name is the future this is what they will see 🤷‍♀️ thoughts?

Wow I've never had that happen where the top result in a first name is a porn star. Unless it's a double first name and unique. What's the name OP?

When I was at school, Googling my first name & last name bought up an American porn star. I have a pretty normal name…
I think now it brings up companies I’ve worked for, work I’ve done and my social media profiles, but I haven’t done it in a while!

It’ll depend on the name; though.

Turn the adult content filter on and she won't come up anymore.
When your child is old enough for kids to make the link I doubt the porn star will still be top of the Google search result.

The name is Mia Isabella 😄 I love the name and it came to us when we were in Italy. I've been so incredibly sick all the time and when in Italy it completely stopped. We thought she loved Italy and the food. Sickness came back when we returned home 😅

Presumably that's first name, middle name? If so, nobody will ever call her by it. She'll just be Mia.

I certainly wouldn't make the connection to a porn star, and neither would anyone else.

Mia Isabella is a beautiful name. Would changing the spelling if Isabelle help? I't definitely doesn't shout 'sex worker'.

Mia isn't an Italian name. Why not choose an Italian one if you want a link with Italy?

Mia Isabella is lovely - and nobody will Google that without adding her surname, so I wouldn’t worry!

When she’s old enough to be googled, whatever the current generation of social media will likely take up the top few links anyway.

She is 36 years old... by the time your baby is 36 she most likely won't be a porn star and showing as top result on Google.

My name does the same, never affected me 😂

It is unlikely that she will think of herself as “Mia Isabella”. She will think of herself as “Mia” or “Mia Smith” or “Mia Isabella Smith”.

And the relevant “Mia Isabella” will disappear from the top google search on the internet long before she thinks to google.

The other option is that you change the name slightly….

Agreed My cousin who is married to an Italian, wanted Mia but her husband vetoed it.

Oh lord! My daughter (9 years old) is Mia Isabelle!! I know they're slighty different but I love it!!!!

Porn stars have a shelf life, she’ll be long gone in a few years!!!
